Eurosatory Side Event on Missiles, Drones, and Frontline Feedback
How to scale: French vs Ukrainian experience
When: 18 June, 19:00-22:30
Where: Paris
Overview
Eastern Circles, a French think tank on the geoeconomics deftech and energy security, in partnership with Martyniv, a Ukrainian law practice, are looking for a partner for Eurosatory side-event in Paris.
With the growing urgency of the Russian military threat for Europe, the pressure is increasing on European defense industries to produce more and cheaper weapons. As air defense threats for the continent loom large, European missile producers are subject to growing pressure from policy-makers to ramp up industrial production. The traditional conservative focus of the industry has been high-quality, high-value production. But the proliferation of missiles and ballistics production by Russia and its allies are pressuring the industry to find the way to scale fast and make cheaper weapons, also to improve air defense capabilities.
The event will highlight technology evolution in modern warfare and practical cooperation opportunities between Ukrainian firms and European partners.
Discussion part 1 will focus on missile production, international cooperation to ramp up capacity, and missile start-ups, with the speakers among the top European and Ukrainian missile producers.
Discussion part 2 will discuss Ukraine’s export controls and the ways to develop partnerships with European deftech and to become part of the European defense ecosystem.
